Being one of the most utilized systems in the world, the MTR is running on an over 80-kilometre network through 50 stations, carrying over 2.3 million passengers every day. MTR trains are operated with automatic control and protection systems to ensure maximum safety and reliability. The routing and timing of train movements are controlled by signalling computer systems according to scheduled timetables from the control centre at Tsing Yi - our destination.
