Structure of JSECS

The Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and Computer Society is comprised of an Executive Committee and three Departments (Members of the Departments are known as Sub-Committee members).

The above mentioned parties are responsible for running the Society in pursuing our Objectives. The Advisory Body provides advice and various means of support to the Society.


Executive Committee

Eligibility: Local secondary school students between the 4th and 5th Forms.
Term of Office: 1 Session

President:
  • To chair and convene all Official Meetings.
  • To represent the Society and be responsible for all affairs concerning the Society.
  • To coordinate Executive Committee members.
  • To approve the withdrawal of the Society fund with the Treasurer.

Vice-President:
  • To assist the President in all his/her duties.
  • To assist the duties, powers and responsibilities of the President in his/her absence.

Internal Secretary:
  • To prepare agendas for all meetings.
  • To take minutes of all meetings.
  • To prepare and keep records of all internal correspondence of the Society.
  • To assist the External Secretaries in his/her duties.

External Secretary:
  • To be responsible for all external correspondance.
  • To assist the Internal Secretary in his/her duties.

Treasurer:
  • To keep the account of the Society.
  • To settle and check all the cash claim requests of the Society.
  • To run and maintain a petty cash system in the Society.
  • To approve the withdrawal of the Society fund with the President.
  • To produce and update Final Documents of the Society.

Human Resources Director:
  • To be responsible for the materials and human resources allocation.
  • To coordinate among departments.
  • To act as a bridge of communication between Executive Committee members and Sub-committee members.

Project Director:
  • Be the head of Project Department of the Sub-Committee.
  • Toseek and prepare necessary materials and equipments for events.
  • To prepare and decorate for events.
  • To arrange venue for events.

Public Relations Director:
  • Be the head of Public Relations Department of the Sub-Committee.
  • To seek sponsorship for events.
  • To maintain the relationship between the community and the Society.
  • To be responsible for any public affairs concerning the Society.

Publications Director:
  • Be the head of Publications Department of the Sub-Committee.
  • To be responsible for any publications concerning the Society.
  • To assist the Network Services Director in creating a consistent website layout.

Network Services Director:
  • To maintain the official website/server of the Society.
  • To advise any technical and computer-related matters.

Departments (Sub-Committee Members)

  • To seek and prepare necessary materials and equipment for events.
  • To prepare and decorate for events.
  • To arrange venue for events.

Publications Department:
  • To be responsible for any publications concerning the Society.
  • To assist the Network Service Director in creating a consistent website layout.

Advisory Body

Alumnus Advisor:
  • To handle issues related to Society Registration in compliance with the Societies Ordinance.
  • To handle matters related to the Society's bank account.
