The 20th Joint School Electronics and Computer Exhibition - IT Rewinds, IT Refines

Introduction

It has been a tradition for HKJSECS to organize the Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and Computer Exhibition, which serves as a platform for us to
introduce ourselves to the public, to allow Hong Kong secondary school students to showcase their IT-related projects, and most importantly, to pique
the public’s interest in computer and information technology.

In the 20th Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and Computer Exhibition, six exceptional proposals written by participants in the Outstanding IT School
Award Competition will be implemented as booths together with booths set up by our sponsors, which will serve as promotion for IT-related products.

With the theme being “IT Rewinds, IT Refines”, the booths set up by students will review the development of information technology in Hong Kong in the past 30 years. We hope this could inspire our teenagers to utilize their potential to contribute to the improvement in IT in the future.

Day 1

Day 2

Opening Ceremony
Representatives from our partners and sponsors, and professors from universities will be invited to be the Guests of Honours. Welcoming speeches will be made by our president, Ms. Charlene Yu and our Guests of Honours. Artists will also be invited for singing performance.

Talks
A career talk will be given by Unisoft, one of our corporation sponsors, and IT-related university faculties, in order to provide students and undergraduates with information on IT-related degrees and occupations.
Another talk will be delivered by uMovie.

Forum
In this session, we will invite some guests to have a forum discussing issues concerning development and use of information technology in the society.
In response to our theme “IT rewinds, IT refines”, the forum would let audience learn more about the development of IT in the past 30 years through the sharing of our guests. Secondary school students will be invited to the forum and will be allowed to interact with the guests.
