Introduction

Background

It has been a tradition for the Hong Kong Joint School Electronics and Computer Society (HKJSECS) to organize the Outstanding IT Student Award so as to help students explore their potential in the IT aspect. Since the 29th year of HKJSECS, the IT Student Award has evolved into the IT School Award. This is to encourage students to form teams and achieve more with each others’ help and to promote IT culture in schools as a whole.

Theme

In the era that we live in, technology reaches into every corner of our lives. We deliberately put “Technology” and “Perspective” together, as we would like to explore the infinite future by looking at the past, present and future technologies with different perspectives and insight, so as to uphold the tradition of HKJSECS in educating and inspiring students in field of technology.

Technology is developing at a breakneck speed. With the advancement in technology, it has created a dazzling and spectacular world of interconnectivity. With a “Sight in Technospective”, we can evolve innovative and creative ideas on improving existing technologies. The phenomenal developments in information technology over the last decades have brought a flourishing cyberspace. The current trend of computing going mobile gives us a glimpse into the near future. An insight into technology has led to the revolution of new ways of doing things and changed our daily lives thoroughly.
